Institute of Really Bad Ideas

I am now proud to say that several friends and I are embarking on a new endeavor as embodied by The Institute of Really Bad Ideas.  We figure as long as we are already going to have really bad ideas, why not institutionalize it and maybe explode a thing or two.  As our mission statment explains,

“our institution’s main goal is to generate as many possibilities for experimentation as possible.”

So maybe what might start out as a really bad idea could turn into a good one or even an awesome one!  This seedling site already has some very intriguing posts and the faculty is growing every day.  I for one am extremely confident that this may be one of the really baddest ideas we’ve ever had.

More Movies!

In case you haven’t checked in a while, we have two new movies in the movies section!  The first is ‘El Regreso de la Reina‘ or Return of the Queen for those not so proficient in spanish.  Created for the final of a Spanish class, it’s an epic tale of a Polish Prince who goes to America in order to find his Queen.  It stars Norbert who can also be seen in ‘A TOK Video‘ as the inventor of calculus.  This movie also features a memorable performance by Danny as El Jefe!  Over all it’s quite a good show.

Secondly, I’ve finally got ‘Love Sick‘ up as requested by a friend of mine.  This was actually not for a class of mine but for a Justice class of the same friend.  Some of the acting is not exactly award winning but this movie does have what I belive is the best of all my opeing sequences.  That’s all for now foks.  Enjoy!

San Molina

And here it is, my newest movie is finally up and running.  San Molina is the story of two couples whose fates intertwine as they search for the treasure of San Molina.  This movie was made with the help of the same people who brought you The Search for the Best, but this one’s bigger and better than ever before.  Defiantly our best film to date!  Also check out the outtakes.  They are quite humorous.

New Movie Coming!

Once again I find myself saying it’s been a while but with good reason!  Astrophysics is still consuming all my time like Rosie O’Donnel and cake.  Yet more importantly my family has wrangled me into producing yet another movie, this time as a Christmas gift for my uncle.  I’ve just finished it a couple days ago (yes, not quite in time for Christmas) and am working on getting it online, so be prepared for a truly amazing show!

In other news…  This last semester I’ve picked up Geocaching!  Very fun and I hope to start posting on those exploits soon.

The Dark Knight

I finally got around to seeing the most epic movie of the summer and I managed to do it in style. This weekend in Tucson, I made the midnight showing at an old drive-in theater during the middle of a thunderstorm. Peering through the rain with the lightening backlighting the screen’s framework enhanced the viewing in an unbelievable way! I could never be sure if the thunder was in the movie, or real life. I highly recommend this method of watching suspenseful movies, that is if you get the chance.

The Dark Knight itself was remarkable. Everything was done exactly right. It’s not very often a movie portrays pure evil in such an forceful and thought provoking way. Heath Ledger’s performance was truly startling and his embodiment of the Joker rooted the movie. The ending was left a little less open then Batman Begins, so it will be interesting to see if and where this team of filmmakers takes the series.
